An Exclusive Interview with Anna Kaplun, Founder of Enzianni Jewellery
Congratulations on this beautiful milestone—what does this anniversary represent for you and the legacy of Enzianni?
Thank you kindly! This anniversary is more than just a celebration—it’s a powerful symbol of growth, resilience, and transformation. Both the brand and I have evolved immensely. We’ve faced the highs and lows of business and life, embraced each phase, and refined ourselves through every experience. I truly feel that we’ve reached a place where we’re operating as the best versions of ourselves—now with eyes set on expanding across the Atlantic.
Can you take us back to the beginning—what inspired you to create Enzianni, and what was the first spark?
Absolutely. I remember it vividly—I was still a university student, strolling through the most luxurious shopping avenues, admiring sparkling jewelry behind glass windows. I dreamed of colorful gemstone pieces that radiated elegance, yet were financially accessible. That desire—to create high-end looking jewelry made with real gemstones and more affordable metals— was the beginning of what is now Enzianni. I wanted every woman to feel that kind of beauty without the barrier of a four-digit price tag.
The name ‘Enzianni’ is as unique as the brand itself. What’s the story behind it, and how does it reflect your identity?
“Enzian” is a delicate blue flower found in the mountains—quiet, resilient, and full of grace. It stands for patience, faith, and longevity—values I identify with deeply and that are deeply woven into the brand’s DNA. The second part, “Anni,” stems from my first name, Anna, which adds a personal and emotional touch to the brand. Together— Enzi-Anni—this fusion becomes not only a unique brand name but also a subtle nod to Italian elegance and timeless femininity, which Enzianni proudly represents.
Do you remember the very first piece you designed? And the last one— what’s the difference between then and now?
Absolutely. I’ll never forget the One-of-a-Kind Double Earrings—my dream turned reality. I imagined them for years: luxurious gemstones with the elegance I once only saw in high-end American designs. I created them in Moonstone, Rose Quartz, Labradorite, Black Onyx, and more. They still embody the bold, meaningful spirit of Enzianni.
Our most recent? The Emerald Collection—lab-created Emerald & Paraiba. It’s the kind of jewelry that feels like wearing a secret fortune. Radiant, powerful, and made for goddesses.
From launching your first collection to now, what moments have truly defined your journey?
The defining moments were definitely the difficult ones. Whether it’s the design process—which can take up to nine months to finalize a single piece—or the challenges of marketing and building brand awareness, every struggle taught me something. Staying committed to your vision when things get tough—that’s where the transformation happens. And even when it’s hard, I absolutely love what I do.
How would you describe your brands style & DNA?
I’d call it ‘sexy elegance.’ That’s my signature style—both personally and in my jewelry. It’s the kind of timeless, understated luxury that even royalty could wear, but with a modern sensuality. Every design has to speak both to sophistication and individuality. And when you add gemstones to the mix, they bring their own kind of language— because gemstone energy never lies.
What draws you to natural gemstones, and how do you let their raw beauty shape each piece?
Gemstones are pure energy to me— both physical and emotional. I believe every person resonates with specific stones that amplify their personality, energy, and even health. That belief shapes everything. We hand-select, hand-cut, and hand-set each gemstone with precision, ensuring the energy remains intact and the quality is flawless. That level of intention and craftsmanship is what makes Enzianni so unique—and once you see the prices, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Who is the Enzianni woman— and how do you design with her in mind?
The Enzianni woman is confident, soulful, and radiates strength. She’s likely over 35, independent, and believes deeply in life’s energy—and the magic of gemstones. She’s a thinker and a doer, someone who experiments with elegance and embraces everyday luxury. A woman with a strong character and a playful spirit who enjoys beauty in all its forms, especially when it’s personal.
Do your collections begin with a concept or a feeling? What’s the starting point of a new piece?
Both. Always both. As a woman, I’m inspired by emotions, experiences, and life’s rhythm. Sometimes a collection begins with a visual inspiration—colors, places, shapes— but often it’s a feeling that drives the design.
The desire to express something, or to help women connect with a part of themselves they’ve forgotten. That emotional connection is where the magic begins.
Are there gemstones or symbols that keep reappearing in your work, either consciously or intuitively?
Yes, absolutely. Rose quartz, for example, is my constant companion—it’s the stone of love and inner balance. As a Taurus, I simply can’t live without it! (laughs) Another favorite is blue topaz, which we feature in our ‘The Cubes’ Collection. It’s a precious stone, usually seen in solid gold or diamond settings, yet we work it into our sterling silver designs at the highest quality. That’s a rarity in the market and something I’m proud of.

What makes the quality and the collections so special?
ENZIANNI jewelry is crafted from 925 Sterling Silver with a rich 18K gold overlay—almost Gold Vermeil standard. We unite this with vibrant natural gemstones, hand-selected and masterfully set. These include rose quartz, rainbow moonstone, aquamarine, labradorite, blue topaz and many others. No stone is alike, each is a unique creation of nature. We finish our pieces with AAA zirconia to add brilliance, and apply a special coating for long-lasting shine and nickel-free comfort. Many of our designs are available as matching sets—earrings, necklaces, bracelets—so our customers can create their own gemstone universe and feel truly unique.
You’ve built a brand known for accessible luxury. How do you maintain that fine balance between quality and affordability?
Honestly? It’s a challenge. Handmade production, perfect gemstones, hand- setting— these things are expensive. But I’ve made it my mission to preserve quality while keeping prices fair for the ENZIANNI woman. It means sacrificing some profit, but it’s worth it. The loyalty of our clients proves it—they keep coming back, collection after collection. That trust is priceless.
Every Enzianni piece is one-of-a-kind. Why is individuality so integral to your brand philosophy?
It’s at the heart of who we are. Up to 80% of our production is done by hand. Every gemstone has its own story, color, and structure, which makes each piece a one-of-a-kind.
We produce in very small batches worldwide, so the chance of seeing another woman wear the same ENZIANNI piece? Very rare.

Could you tell us about the artisans behind your collections? What role does craftsmanship play in Enzianni’s identity?
We work closely with artisans in India and Asia who bring generations of expertise in gemstone cutting and setting. Their craftsmanship is extraordinary —almost magical.
Their hands give life to our designs and carry the spirit of ENZIANNI into every piece.
In a fast-paced fashion world, your pieces feel timeless. Has that always been your intention?
Absolutely. My mission has always been to create pieces that stand the test of time. I want the ENZIANNI woman to wear our first designs even 20 years from now—and feel as radiant and elegant as ever.
Are there any customer stories— weddings, gifts, heirlooms—that have touched you deeply?
So many. Brides, in particular, hold a special place in my heart. Many choose rose quartz or rainbow moonstone sets for their weddings—stones that symbolize love and light. Knowing that my jewelry is worn on such a meaningful day is an honor I never take lightly. And when they send me photos after… honestly, it’s hard not to tear up.
What has been the most memorable moment in the brand’s history so far?
Right now! We’re crossing the Atlantic to open a second office in Silicon Valley, partnering with the incredible Iryna Voskerician (Editor-in-Chief at Red Hot Monde Magazine). It’s the beginning of a new chapter—and I can’t wait to support her and meet our growing U.S. community.

How has your community shaped Enzianni, especially in the digital space?
We’ve integrated deep AI know-how into our branding and visuals. This allows us to create photoshoots anywhere—from Paris rooftops to the moon (smiles). We now produce digital imagery within 1–2 days, making us more agile, cost- efficient, and creatively free. This fusion of high jewelry and cutting-edge tech is something I’m deeply passionate about.
Will there be a special anniversary collection? If so, what makes it distinct from past collections?
Yes, likely! I’m currently dreaming up a capsule of statement red-carpet earrings using lab-created emeralds.
These are bold, radiant, and meant to celebrate not only the brand’s journey— but the women who wear them.
As you look toward the next chapter, what are your hopes, dreams, and visions for the future of Enzianni?
Prosperity. New collections. New people. New events. New countries. I feel like we’re just getting started—and the next pages of the ENZIANNI story will be our most exciting yet.
