2025 is just around the corner, and today I’ll share tips on creating a makeup look that will attract luck
and prosperity in the upcoming year. As we know, 2025 is the Year of the Green Wood Snake in the
Chinese Zodiac. The Green Wood Snake symbolizes wisdom, calmness, and deliberation, which means
this festive season is best celebrated in outfits of green and neutral tones like beige, gold, and sand.

This color palette also extends to makeup: the wooden element inspires soft and natural hues. Green
pairs beautifully with gold or silver, while bronze complements rich beige tones perfectly. Interestingly,
the Pantone Color of the Year 2025, Mocha Mousse 17-1230, aligns with this trend. This earthy, warm
tone not only promises to attract good fortune but is set to be the most fashionable shade of the season.

While preparing your festive look, it’s best to avoid bold neon shades, as well as blue, pink, and coral in
your clothing and makeup. However, if you can’t resist these hues, you can subtly incorporate them through
duochrome accents on your eyes for a modern and tasteful touch.

The spotlight of your 2025 New Year’s makeup can shine equally on your eyes or lips. For lips, shades of
brown are a top choice—gradient lips remain trendy, transitioning from a natural center to a darker,
cool-toned, sharply defined contour. Rich wine or even classic red shades are also acceptable, but
remember: use glitter sparingly. A delicate shimmer will add a soft, elegant glow without overwhelming the look.

For eyes, emphasize earthy tones, combining greens, golds, or bronze for a sophisticated finish. A touch
of metallic shimmer on the eyelids or inner corners can elevate the look while staying true to the theme.
